Think Like an NP is an introductory series for newly accepted Nurse Practitioner (NP) students to gain the knowledge and skills* needed for success in NP School. This is different than a bootcamp. It is part of your lifecycle to be an NP.
This is an empowering course specifically designed for newly accepted NP students or what Dr. Patrice coined as our next generation nurse practitioners (NEXGENNPs).

Participants will explore the blueprint for application and critical thinking as providers. Winning strategies to transition from RN to NP Student will be analyzed. This course is an introduction to the four-part series embracing communication, assessment, documentation, and prescribing as the areas of mastery. Participants will have an increased understanding of NP practice at the end of the series
Dr. Patrice is the Founder and CEO of NP Student and Nurses in Media. She has worked as a nurse for 12 years and a high school teacher for three years.
She has disseminated her research and DNP outcomes at local symposiums. Patrice published her first scholarly article in The Journal of Thermal Biology at age 22. She was 2018 Nurses in Washington Internship (NIWI) scholarship recipient and continues to do research in healthcare policy.
She facilitates support groups for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse. She authors two books and has been a contributor to Atlanta Parent Magazine for four years, and the newest contributor to DNP, Inc’s Outcomes newsletter. Most of all, she enjoys roadraces and freestyle dancing on Friday nights with her hubby and two children.
